Mr Darren Holden - BSc Hons, MAusIMM  
Managing Director

Mr Holden is a geologist with 15 years experience in mining and exploration. He is a graduate of the University of Otago (NZ) and The University of Western Australia and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Mr Holden has previously held the role of Senior Consultant at Fractal Geoscience and was involved in modeling and targeting on a wide range of deposit styles. Mr Holden was a leading member of the team that won the GoldCorp Challenge in 2001. Mr Holden also held the role of Chief Operating Officer of Geoinformatics Exploration Inc for the period of 2001 to 2009. Geoinformatics was a Canadian corporation that successfully delineated several new discoveries including a multimillion ounce gold-copper project in Alaska and other base and precious metal discoveries in British Columbia, Nevada and Mexico.

Mr Holden recently returned to Perth to take up the position of Managing Director at ABM Resources NL.


Dr Rodney Boucher – BAppGeol Hons, PhD, MAIG, MAusIMM
Chief Geologist


Dr Boucher is a geologist with 20 years experience in exploration and mining.  After starting in the Petroleum Division with the Mines Department in South Australia (PIRSA), he established a gold exploration consultancy business in 1997.  He developed methods to log, correlate and target sedimentary-hosted gold deposits that are utilised throughout Victoria.  Rodney has consulted for exploration for Cu-Au, base metals and IOCGU exploration in all states in addition to assisting in the first geothermal exploration in the country.  He assisted with the final drill site selection for the Carrapateena discovery near Olympic Dam.  Rodney is an Honorary Associate of La Trobe University where he lectured part-time from 1997-2010.  He has recently resigned his position of state chairman of the Victorian branch of the AIG to take up his role with ABM Resources.


Ms Berdine Mastaglia – BSc
Manager GIS & Investor Relations


Ms Mastaglia is an experienced and qualified Cartographer involved in the management of a Geoscience Information System (GIS) providing organisation of a geological database and cartographic expertise to the exploration team. Additionally she is involved with a wide range of investor relations responsibilities. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Cartography) from Curtin University.
 


Mr Luke A. Forti – BSc, Pg.D.
Project Geologist

Mr Forti is a qualified geologist with six years experience in the mining and mineral processing industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Earth science) from Deakin University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Science (Geoscience) from Monash University.

Mr Forti has a wide range of exposure to Gold, Nickel, Lead, Zinc, Copper, and Iron Ore in operational roles ranging from mine geology, structural geology, and minerals exploration within some of the nation’s largest and most complex economic deposits.


Mr Patrick Smillie – BSc
Project Geologist

With eight years experience in the mineral exploration industry, Mr. Smillie has worked extensively on Diamond, Uranium, Coal, and Gold exploration projects for both junior exploration and major mining companies in Canada, the United States, and Australia.  With a background in Economics, he also has worked in resource estimation and valuation.  Mr. Smillie holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) – Geology, and a Bachelor of Arts – Economics from Queen’s University.


Mr Alwin van Roij – BSc, MSc
Project Geologist

Mr van Roij has over four years experience in the gold exploration and mining industry. Over the last three years Alwin has been  working  in the underexplored terrain in the Tanami region in Australia, with his expertise being in narrow - high grade systems. Mr van Roij holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Earth Resources and Structural Geology from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands.


Ms Robin McQuinn - BSc
Project Geologist


Ms McQuinn graduated with a degree in Geology and Computer Science (Honours) from the University of British Columbia, with a special focus on volcanology.  She has over 4 years’ experience working on a range of projects in precious and base metals throughout the North and South American cordillera, and spanning the project spectrum from grass roots targeting to resource stage geologic modelling.  She is a member of the SEG, GSA and the AMEBC.   Ms McQuinn recently moved 11,700 km to be able to work with ABM Resources.


Miss Rebecca Erin Richards – BSC, MSc, GSNZ
Geologist


Ms Richards has recently completed her studies at the University of Waikato holding a BSc Earth and Ocean Sciences and an MSc Earth Sciences. Ms Richards is also a Golden Key Society member and member of AusIMM. Her broad range of academic knowledge and enthusiasm are a welcomed addition to the ABM geology team.


Ms Lucy Brisbout
Graduate Geologist
BSc Geology (Hons)


Ms Brisbout has recently completed a Bachelor of Science with honours at the University of Western Australia. Her honours project involved mapping and describing the Triassic sediments of Bandeira Gorge in East Timor. During her studies Ms Brisbout received several academic awards including the Edward de Courcy Clarke Prize in Geology and completed four months vacation work with Barrick at Plutonic gold mine. Ms Brisbout is a member of AusIMM and the AIG and is very excited to be working with ABM geology team in the Tanami.
