Mr Darren Holden - BSc Hons, MAusIMM
Managing Director
Mr Holden is a geologist with over 15 years experience in mining and exploration. He is a graduate of the University of Otago (NZ) and The University of Western Australia and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Mr Holden has previously held the role of Senior Consultant at Fractal Geoscience and was involved in modeling and targeting on a wide range of deposit styles. Mr Holden was a leading member of the team that won the GoldCorp Challenge in 2001. Mr Holden also held the role of Chief Operating Officer of Geoinformatics Exploration Inc for the period of 2001 to 2009. Mr Holden was based in Vancouver and helped guide Geoinformatics through the GFC and into a merger with Rimfire Minerals Corp to form Kiska Metals Ltd. Under Mr Holden’s exploration tutelage Geoinformatics successfully delineated several new discoveries including a multimillion ounce gold-copper project in Alaska and other base and precious metal discoveries in British Columbia, Nevada and Mexico.
Mr Holden returned to Perth to take up the position of Managing Director at ABM Resources NL.
Mr Brad Valiukas – BEng (Mining), Member AusIMM.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr Brad Valiukas is a Mining Engineer with over 16 years management and technical experience in the Mining Sector. Mr Valiukas has previously held roles of Chief Operating Officer at Focus Minerals Ltd, Deputy Chief Mining Engineer at Mincor Resources and has worked in both open pit and underground mining environments, and is an expert in narrow vein mining. Mr Valiukas has also worked as a Mining Engineer Consultant with RSG Global and has held multiple Mine Manager and Mining Engineer positions, including for WMC Ltd, Homestake Mining and mining contractors. Mr Valiukas holds a Bachelor of Engineer (Mining) from the University of New South Wales and multiple industry based accreditations.
Ms Jutta Zimmermann – Dip AQF, Dip Information Technology
Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary
Ms Zimmermann has over twenty years experience in accounting, taxation and management in both Australia and Germany. She is an accountant with an Australian AQF diploma level and a equivalent Australian bachelor degree level from the Furtwangen Polytechnic in Information Technology.
Ms Zimmermann holds the position of Chief Financial Officer with the company and was appointed Company Secretary on 17 April 2007. Additionally she holds a certificate in Governance Practice and Administration.
Mr Pascal Hill - BSc (Hons) MAIG
Exploration Manager
Mr Hill is a geologist with over 15 years’ experience ranging from near mine to regional exploration in IOCG, porphyry copper – gold, epithermal gold, VMS lead – zinc – silver, orogenic gold and rock phosphate. Having graduated from the University of New England, Mr Hill worked extensively in Nth Queensland prior to joining Triako Resources at Mineral Hill in 2002. In 2005, Mr Hill joined Newmont at Pajingo, and subsequently transferred to Newmont’s Tanami Operations at Callie, where he spent 5 years as Senior Geologist, District Exploration. Mr Hill was awarded the Newmont APAC Near Mine Exploration Excellence Award for his work in The Tanami.
Ms Berdine Mastaglia – BSc
Manager GIS & Investor Relations
Ms Mastaglia is an experienced and qualified Cartographer involved in the management of a Geoscience Information System (GIS) providing organisation of a geological database and cartographic expertise to the exploration team. Additionally she is involved with a wide range of investor relations responsibilities. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Cartography) from Curtin University.
Mr Patrick Smillie – BSc Hons
Project Geologist
With over ten years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry, Mr. Smillie has worked extensively on Diamond, Uranium, Coal, and Gold exploration projects for both junior exploration and major mining companies in Canada, the United States, and Australia. With a background in Economics, he also has worked in resource estimation and valuation. Since joining ABM in 2010, Mr. Smillie has been managing the Twin Bonanza project, including the Old Pirate and Buccaneer resources. Mr. Smillie holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) – Geology, and a Bachelor of Arts – Economics from Queen’s University.
Mr Alwin van Roij – BSc, MSc
Project Geologist
Mr van Roij holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Earth Resources and Structural Geology from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, and is a member of the AIG. With seven years’ experience in the gold exploration and mining industry, over the last six years Mr van Roji has been working in the underexplored terrain in the Tanami region of the Northern Territory, Australia, gaining exposure to regional exploration through to resource estimation, near mine exploration, open pit and underground mining, with his expertise being in narrow - high grade systems.
Ms Robin McQuinn - BSc
Project Geologist
Ms McQuinn graduated with a degree in Geology and Computer Science (Honours) from the University of British Columbia, with a special focus on volcanology. She has over 4 years’ experience working on a range of projects in precious and base metals throughout the North and South American cordillera, and spanning the project spectrum from grass roots targeting to resource stage geologic modelling. She is a member of the SEG, GSA and the AMEBC. Ms McQuinn recently moved 11,700 km to be able to work with ABM Resources.
Miss Rebecca Erin Richards – BSC, MSc, GSNZ
Geologist
Ms Richards has 3 years’ experience in the gold exploration industry and specialises in geochemistry. Rebecca’s expertise is in developing and applying low detection surficial geochemical techniques to look for mineralisation under many meters of transported cover. Miss Rebecca Richards holds a BSc Earth and Ocean Sciences and an MSc Earth Sciences from the University of Waikato. Miss Richards is also a Golden Key Society member and member of AusIMM.
Mr Peter Aldridge – BSc
Geologist
Mr Aldridge holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Western Australia and is a member of the AIG, GSA, AAG and SEG. He has over two years’ experience in the commodities iron ore and gold. His experience in mineral exploration ranging from Western Australia’s Mid-West Region and most recently with ABM working in resource definition on the Twin Bonanza project as well as greenfields exploration in the North Arunta region in the Northern Territory.
Ms Kelly McInnes – BSc
Geologist
Ms McInnes recently graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science from James Cook University, Queensland, where she studied Economic Geology and Chemistry. Since graduating Ms McInnes has been working with ABM Resources NL carrying out resource definition on the Twin Bonanza project as well as greenfields exploration in the North Arunta region in the Northern Territory.
