Tanami Lake Mackay North Arunta

North Arunta Project – NT (ABM 100%)

BACKGROUND

The North Arunta Trans-Tanami Extension covers greater than 6000 square kilometres of Exploration License Applications. The region is intersected by the Trans-Tanami Fault Zone – the same structure that hosts Newmont’s Callie Mine (>5Moz gold).

LOCATION

The North Arunta project area is located between 200 and 400km north-northwest of Alice Springs and 85km (at nearest point) to Newmont’s Callie / Granites Mine. The region is accessed by well serviced tracks from the Tanami Road near Yuendumu and via the Stuart Highway.

GEOLOGY
BARROW CREEK

The Barrow Creek Regional Project consists of a 160 kilometre long geophysical gravity trend with associated metamorphosed sedimentary rocks, dolerite intrusions and large granite intrusions. The region has several known mineral occurrences including gold, copper, nickel, zinc, tin and tantalum.

Kroda, Emma, Tulsa

These projects are located 18 kilometres west of the Stuart Highway, 30 kilometres north of the town of Barrow Creek and 200 kilometres south of Tennant Creek.

The project consists of multiple individual prospects (Kroda 1 to 4, Tulsa and Emma) with a combined anomalous strike length of more than 40km of anomalous geochemistry. The project is well serviced with infrastructure and is located on pastoral land close to the Stuart Highway, the Ghan Rail Line and the Northern Territory Gas Pipeline.

Waldron’s Hill

Dominant rock types of the Waldron’s Hill prospect are metadolerite and sillimanitegarnet- cordierite schist suggesting amphibolite facies metamorphism. Granites have been identified in outcrop and drilling to the south and east of Waldron’s Hill. Waldron’s Hill was mined for gold in the 1920’s.

Harrison

In the Harrison area metadolerites are interfingered with quartz-biotite-muscovite schists and gneiss, with rare andalusite seen in thin section. The mineralised dolerites form a tight anticlinal structure plunging to the east granites outcrop east of the prospect. The geochemical anomaly which defines Harrison is approximately 5km long and 700m wide.

Lennon

There are a number of substantial ridges in the Lennon prospect area with outcropping quartzite, biotite schists and pegmatites. The more anomalous results though have no associated outcrop and are interpreted to coincide with mafic sills within the Killi Killi Formation of the Tanami Group. The sills appear to define an open fold structure that is asymmetric to the southeast, the hinge zone has only partially been tested with surface sampling. Also of note is the apparent magnetite destruction zone in the hinge zone of the fold structure. Cambrian Wiso Basin sediments occur in much of the north portions of EL23884.

REYNOLDS RANGE

Reynolds Range presents up to 24 known gold occurrences mainly associated with greenschist facies in shale and sandstone units of the Lower Palaeoproterozic Lander Rock Beds. This Formation is equivalent laterally to the <1,860 Ma Killi Killi Formation in the Tanami Group where numerous Gold deposits have been discovered.

Figure 2.The Stafford Gold Zone showing all RAB, Vacuum, Aircore, RC and Diamond Hole locations plotted for maximum assay down hole. Maximum hole depth is 156m and average depth is 9.8m. Assays and drilling conducted during several phases with various explorers. Gold is assayed predominantly using Aqua Regia and AAS methods and base metal assays using Aqua Regia and ICPMS methods. Intercepts calculated using 0.3g/t cut off, minimum 1m width and maximum 10metre internal dilution. MGA94 Zone 53.

ABM Resources completed an initial eight-hole program for 2346 metres of drilling at various Reynolds targets. The best results were returned from the Sabre Prospect where the Company intersected 35 metres grading 2.02g/t gold including 17 metres grading 3.93g/t gold and 2 metres grading 18.15g/t gold. In addition, the Company conducted regional reconnaissance work and collected high grade copper (up to 20.3% copper) and silver (up to 271g/t silver) samples at the Reward Prospect. The final results for the Stafford Gold Zone were received during July 2010.

Assays and drilling conducted during several phases with various explorers. Gold is assayed predominantly using Aqua Regia and AAS methods and base metal assays using Aqua Regia and ICPMS methods. Intercepts calculated using 0.3g/t gold cut off, minimum 1m width and maximum 10metre internal dilution and second order intercepts (higher grade) calculated using a 1.0g/t gold cut off, minimum width of 1m and 10metres of internal dilution. MGA94 Zone 53

Gold is present in poly-metallic associations as well as producing alteration halos associated with pathfinder elements such as antimony and arsenic. Quartz veining and doleritic relationships with gold anomalies have been described at several prospects in the area as well as geochemical fingerprints.
